Pason is committed to our customers across the globe. Norman is the face behind expanding our market share in the Middle East and the North Africa Region — primarily in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey, and Egypt.
“Building on Pason’s success in the U.S. and Canada, I spend a lot of my time with prospective clients educating them about Pason and what we do.”
Norman’s commitment to building lasting relationships with Pason’s clients within these regions is something he enjoys most about his position as Business Development Manager, MENA, based in Dubai.
Norman joined Pason about 18 months ago. However, he’s known about Pason for years, as he formally worked for a company based out of Edmonton, Alberta, while living in Bahrain.
“I had crossed paths with Pason on several occasions,” Norman says. “When the company was looking to strengthen its Middle East Business Development efforts, I was convinced by Pason’s reputation and potential in the region.”
He was drawn to Pason’s commitment to offering best-in-class products and services as energy technology experts.
When Norman — who grew up in Germany, Bangladesh, and Thailand before finishing high school in B.C. and attending Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario — isn’t expanding Pason’s network, he spends time with Leo, his seven-month-old German Shepherd.
“He keeps me company, and on my toes,” he says. “I also am doing my best to manage a healthy and fit lifestyle, so I run about 100 km (62 miles) per month, weather permitting (it does get very hot and humid here in the summer).”
Norman is an avid golfer, and has even played in some amateur tournaments around the UAE. He recently picked up scuba diving this year.
“I have been able to do a few dives around the UAE over the weekends and holidays,” he says.
